Chris Taylor, jazz pianist, composer, instructor


A graduate of Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas, Chris is currently living and performing in Boston and its surrounding area including Cape Cod and Rhode Island.

He has led his own jazz bands at the Boston Prudential Tower’s “Top of the Hub Restaurant” for 13 years, toured the U.S., Canada, and Europe in various musical endeavors.

For 12 years Chris lived and performed in Philadelphia with many local musicians such as Philly Joe Jones, Bobby Durham, Mickey Roker, Christian McBride, Jack Six, Charles Fambrough, Joe Ford, Al Cohn, and Larry McKenna.

Chris has produced 3 recordings as leader: “The Chris Taylor Trio at the Mall at Chestnut Hill,” “Chris Taylor, Piece Offerings,” and “Girl of My Dreams, The Chris Taylor Trio with Marc Adler” on the Sweet Pea
